eDocs: Configure, archive, and process electronic forms on Chase.com

Project Overview

Product Background: eDocs

eDocs is an ecosystem that will allow Chase internal users to configure e-forms on Chase.com. It includes self-service tools, end-customer forms, the Document Upload Center, and the internal forms approval, archiving, and processing processes.

My Role

I served the role of a Senior UX Designer while working with a lead designer. My significant contributions included conducting 4 user interviews, 2 stakeholder interviews, representing design on product teams, and designing the first UI version of eDocs.

Project Background

The Fulfillment & Archive Services team is aiming to launch eDocs by researching, designing, and developing it. As the UX Designer on eDocs, I was involve in early conceptualization, interviews with internal business users, and creating a first version of the UI.

Timeline

October 2022 - December 2022

Challenge

Currently, there are many manual processes throughout Chase that require faxing and mailing paper forms- this is time-consuming and arduous for customers. Additionally, there is a tremendous cost for paper involved in customer and bank processes.

User Interviews, Affinity Mapping, Synthesis, Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis, Personas, User Flows, Ideation, Sketching, Wireframing, Interaction & Visual Design, Prototyping, Figjam, Figma

Solution

eDocs will allow the creation of electronic forms, eliminating the cost of paper and manual processes. The self-service tool will also allow Chase business lines to configure forms, which reduces custom development time by the Fulfillment & Archive Services team.

Goal & Outcome

Product goals are to eliminate the time-consuming processes of faxing and mailing paper forms, reduce the volume and cost of paper through digitizing forms, and reduce custom development hours by Fulfillment & Archive Services for e-forms on Chase.com.
